Research evidence shows that the greater number of times a student has a meaningful encounter with an employer then the likelihood of the young person being able to enter the labour market is higher.
At MYT we engage with employers in a variety of ways to support young people.
We bring employers together when we need input into research around youth employment and gather their issues and resolution to inform our work.
We work with employers who offer our students work experience placements and social action opportunities. It is important that we have supportive employers who understand the difficulties that some young people face when entering the employment market.
Employers support career fairs and other events such as Engineering Competitions giving their time and expertise that allows young people to explore different options and pathways to employment.
